It is a quality restaurant that was awarded a Michelin star from 2010 to present.[1][2][3] Bridgestone Guides also lists the hotels as one of the 100 Best Places To Eat.[4]Journalist Pol O Conghaile listed the hotel and restaurant on his The travel hot list 2010 in the Irish Independent.[5]
The original Cliff House Hotel was established around 1932. In 2008 it was almost completely rebuilt under the management of the Dutch general-manager Adriaan Bartels. The restaurant was created during this rebuilding.[6]
